I have matlab 2008b installed on a dual-boot computer. Matlab is
installed in linux (Ubuntu 8.10, AMD64), but most of the files I want
to access are located on the windows (NTSF) partition. In fact,
matlab itself is installed on the windows partition, to save space on
the fairly small linux partition.

The problem I am having is that matlab will not browse to or open
files on the NTSF partition - even though it is installed on that
partition and is otherwise running perfectly.

If I try to access my matlab folder on the vista partition (by
entering the location in the "current directory" input field) I get
the following error:

  ???Error using = = > cd
Cannot CD to XYZ (Name is nonexistent or not a directory)

Where XYZ is the path to the folder I am trying to access. I have
tried this by both entering the actual path (/media/vista/....) or by
making a link to the folder and accessing it through that.

Anyone know what the problem is, and how I can work around it while
keeping my vista partition, and the files on the partition.

Thanx

Bryan
