Does anyone have any idea why the same code running on two different computers but with very similar characteristics can vary so much in time? They both have 3GB RAM, 300GB HD. The one running faster has an Intel T3400 dual core processor 2.16Ghz and the other one has an AMD TURION 64 x2 processor at 2.0Ghz. Now if I run it on the one with Intel processor it gets done in 7 hours, while the other takes about three times that? They both are having the same load on a day basis, both are pretty new computers and have about the same free space in hard drive. Both running version R2008a.
