Thread Subject: Lip and Eyes segmentation in a sequence of images

Hi,
I am working on my bachelor's thesis where I analyse a sequence of images but before I can do that I have to extract the eyes and lips. I have been trying for a few months now to get to the main stage but the preprocessing is not giving me satisfactory results.I have tried viola jones algorithm and others for particle custering but the results have been less than satisfactory as the resultant segmentation is not going to yield the best results during analysis. I wanted to use the fuzzy c means algorithm with shape function but failed the implementation as I only found 2 papers dealing with the same.

I would be glad if you could help me by suggesting some alternatives or some source code that could be of help. Ofcourse, there will be due citations, references and all necessary credit would be given.
