Hi,

I got Matlab R2006a installed on my computer. Now, I would like to use xlsread function to read an Excel 2007 file but I got error message:

Error using ==> xlsread
Data range is invalid.

Is there anything I can do to handle this error?

Alan

As Microsoft Office 2007 was released after MATLAB 7.3 (R2006b), there are some known issues described below (maybe it is related):

Are there any issues using The MathWorks products with Microsoft Office 2007?

Why am I unable to use XLSREAD to read an Excel file created in Excel 2007 into MATLAB 7.3 (R2006b)?

In R2006a, MS Excel 2000, MS Excel 2002 or MS Excel 2003 are supported:
