Thread Subject: Issue with Parallel computing, 'distcompserialize' not found

Hi,

I am using Matlab 2009 with the Parallel computing toolbox installed.

When I try to test my local configuration by going to the "parallel" menu, "Manage configurations" and "start validation" for the 'local' configuration the first test fails. In the details, I get the following error:

Undefined function or method 'distcompserialize' for input arguments of type 'double'.
----
That usually happens when the function can not be found but I made sure to add the '/toolbox' folder with its subfolders to the path.

Any ideas?

Hi,

That sounds like an installation problem - you're quite right that that error
usually indicates a function missing from the path; however, you shouldn't need
to manually add toolbox paths, so maybe something went wrong during
installation. I would suggest that you contact our technical support department.
