one question about fmincon

Hello:

I have one question regarding fmincon in matlab 2009 student version.
When I run a fmincon program, the computer give me such information, I don't know if this is the local optimum solution. It is definitly better than the inital point, but is this the final answer? Why it tells me "fmincon stopped because it exceeded the function evaluation limit", should I change the Maxfuneval? How to change it? When I type options.maxfuneval =2000 at the beginning of my program, it seems doesn't work.

Optimization running.
Optimization terminated.
Objective function value: -1.287195006148841

Solver stopped prematurely.

fmincon stopped because it exceeded the function evaluation limit,
options.MaxFunEvals = 800 (the default value).

Thank you so much if someone could help me.

Best Regards

Yi
