I tried to install R2009a on a Vista64 on a Intel Quad Core (Core i7, Nehalem) machine but failed. After starting the installation the following error message occurs: "Error finding installer class. An exception occurred while looking for class". The path of Windows TMP folder is without special character (i.e. non-ascii characters) or spaces. Previous installation of R2008a suceeded without problems. Same problem occurs on Windows7 64 bit. Installtion DVD worked well on WinXP 32 bit.

Since from your description of the problem it sounds like you've already
read through this document:

http://www.mathworks.com/support/solutions/en/data/1-3042HP/

I'd say your next step should be to contact Installation Technical Support
using the link at the bottom of that page. When you do, let them know that
you've already read that solution document so they don't recommend it to you
again.
