I want to change the pattern length on my line (which has the pattern '--') so that the dashed lines are much further appart .. I can do this easily in tecplot .. is this possible in matlab ??>

This was from a long time ago, but unfortunately got buried under what I guess were more important questions!

I'm still wondering how to do this though! So if anyone has any input that would be great!

You can't do it in MATLAB. You would have to print your figure to a PS
file and then edit that before printing or converting to PDF or
whatever. I vaguely recall that someone may have written a function to
do just that -- take a look in the FEX. If there's nothing there and
you still want to know how to do it I can show you.
