Hi,

I was upgrading from 2008b to 2009a and the proxy server
specification under the Web preference doesn't work. It works in
2008b but the exact same proxy name doesn't work. The only difference
I can see between the two versions is that the newer has a "test"
button. The test button always returns "Failed". If I ignore it and
try to acess the web, Matlab totally freezes. I talked to my network
people and they say that nothing new has been done to the proxy
server. I've also tried a few things with my desktop firewall and
nothing obvious there.

I put a ticket in with Mathworks tech support but they seem to
believe that telling me to do things I've already done (and told them)
is somehow useful.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks

Stan P
