Hello:

My data looks like this

[X Z Y1 Y2], where all values of X, Z, Y1, and Y2 are already specified. In fact, they are coming in from a different software.

If we were to take a cross section of (X constant, Z, Y1), we would see a hyperbola. If we were to take that same cross section at x (X constant, Z, Y2), we would see a parabola.

Since all the data used to generate these objects are already specified. I just want to simply graph them in MATLAB. How do I do this? Since X is discrete, I would like MATLAB to contour so that it is a smooth object.... How do I do this?

Do you need to plot the 2 surfaces? is this your problem?
