I want to capture and process audio in realtime using playrec. At the same time, I want visual feedback. Problem is, any plot commands cause audio break-ups.

Is there any way to "schedule" for a plotting command to occur whenever possible without halting execution of the rest of the script?

I want nice plots in real-time, but I would rather skip one plot than introduce audio break-ups...

I'd suggest showing us what your matlab code looks like and probably someone here may offer suggestions of how to make it better and to keep it continuous.
