Hi,
I am trying to fetch some data from Asset Control Software into Matlab, which will be used for further computation.
So, for accesing this data do i have to write any API to do the interfacing or is it possible to call it directly in Matlab & export back.
Can anyone pls. suggest how?

Thanks & Regards,
Suyog Tapaswi.

Hi,

as far as I know, Asset Control comes along with a Java API. This you should
be able to call from MATLAB.

AC is working on downstream integration now, so you should let them
know that MatLab is one of the downstream systems where you want to
use the data.

Their Java API lets you do just about anything with the data, so
creating an interface is not too difficult, whether you extract the
data as objects or XML.

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. It is indeed helpful.
Just wanted to know, in which format does Asset Control send the data.
Is it possible to access data into Matlab directly from Asset Control without getting into intricacies of any wrapper function?

Regards,
Suyog.

Everything is returned in matrix structures, but what you get depends
on what you query (e.g. reference data v. price data).

Your best bet is to go through the API programming guide. That tells
you how to parse the return objects.
