Hi I am wanting to make a matlab program that takes a shape, knows a few conductivity constants of the materials involved, and then draws a temperature map of the shape.

I was thinking that the user could draw the shape - 2d it could be - like a cross section of the real object, and then matlab could do a heat modal analysis of the shape if it new where the heat was going in.

The trouble is I have never used the cad option in simulink, and dont know if a drawing can then be analysed like that.

can it be done?
