Subject: Index tab in help doc interface?

Hi all,

I've got versions 2009a and 2009b installed.
In 2009a, I like using the 'index' tab in the help doc viewer (you know the one where each letter of the alphabet is a link at the top, and you can scroll through accordingly). In fact, if I type "doc" at the command prompt, I see that I have 4 tabs:
"Contents", "Index", "Search Results", "Demos".

In 2009b however, I've only got "Contents" and "Search Results". Where did "Index" go, and can I get it back?

Cheers,
Sven.

The removal of the Index tab is documented in the Release Notes for release
R2009b:

http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/rn/br5ktrh-1.html#br5ktri-10

Scroll down to the "Compatibility Considerations" section in the Help
Browser section of the Release Notes.

If you have feedback about that change, you may want to post it as a comment
on the MATLAB Desktop blog for the developers to read (the thread below
seems to have a decent discussion of the Index tab and the Help Browser
modifications) or contact Technical Support with that feedback.
