I am not from Maths background so it will be great if some can show me some light!

What is difference between image measured from MRI scanner and signal measured from earth .........when we say we need to reconstruct the image from non uniform K -space data and signal from non uniform x - space data...i know k means wave number and x is spatial domain..but cant i apply the same algorithm on both of them...isnt reconstructing a signal and reconstructing a MRI image will be same......

2. Although there is doubt arises, signal amplitudes will be real since it is in spatial domain, and signal amplitudes in wavenumber domain will be complex ones.........so applying same algorithm on both of them will be right or wrong

Thanks
