Hi,
I am 3-4 days old to matlab and came across following error while i wanted to load a jpg image and wanted to do some reading and writing to that.

Command i entered:
? RGB= imread('ok.jpg')

Error i got:
??? Error using ==> imread
Image file name must end in 'raw'.

Please suggest me the way to load/read and write any image in Matlab
i am using very old version of Matlab. its 4.2c.1

help imread

should you give you some more information what types of image files your ancient matlab supports. I think the JPG format was not supported back then.

Why not upgrade to a newer (cheap student) version?
