Thread Subject: Forecasting

I'm new to MATLAB, not familiar with the forecasting/prediction functions.
Does Matlab have such a function, or does the code have to be developed from scratch? I'm interested in both perfect foresight and random walk forecasting models.

Well be sure to put it up on the File Exchange when you have cracked it - perfect foresight is something that we all could do with;-)
