Hi, I am working with a webcam and I hoped to use the videoinput function to attach it, but I always get this error "??? Undefined function or method 'videoinput' for input arguments of type 'char'." when I try. Can anyone help? I don't know if it's because I'm on a Macintosh or not, but I am. I have two webcams attached, but that shouldn't matter either, right? I am using it in this manner:
>> videoinput('winvideo')
??? Undefined function or method 'videoinput' for input arguments of type 'char'.
>> vidobj = videoinput('winvideo', 1, 'RGB24_320X240');
??? Undefined function or method 'videoinput' for input arguments of type 'char'.

Thanks in advance for any help!!!
Ben

VIDEOINPUT is a function from Image Acquisition Toolbox.

http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/toolbox/imaq/videoinput.html

The system requirements for this toolbox indicate it's only supported on
Windows platforms.

http://www.mathworks.com/products/imaq/requirements.html

Thus it's not going to work on Mac OS X.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the information, is there any other way to read from a webcam in OS X other than videoinput? Thanks!
