I have an interesting challenge. Any ideas or existing Matlab code that will grab historic temperatures for an area? I'm looking to retrieve daily highs using the zip code (or something). Any ideas?

Well, if you have a database of temperatures, then
this is just a search. If you don't have the data,
then it requires magic.

Depending on the area in which you're interested, you might be able to write
code (using URLREAD or URLWRITE) to interface to the NOAA's database.
