Hi Everyone,

I am doing some image processing on some tissue samples and I was wondering if a function like this exists through MATLAB. For example, if I have an image of a circle that has some broken edges, is there some function that can be used to detect that the shape is broken and can fill in the broken parts?
The image describes it pretty well: http://imgur.com/By9Ou.jpg

Just drawing a simple line between the endpoints would work me.

I would appreciate any help on this, thanks!

Sorry, there is no such function. You'd have to code it up yourself
from component functions like hough transform, morphological closing,
etc.

Cool, thanks a lot for the advice. I'll look those up.
