Thread Subject: value of popup menu in GUI not getting cleared

I hav a GUI in which the user chooses a folder and accordingly a popup menu is generated showing all the files in the folder...

my prog is running perfectly fine for the first execution cycle,when 'value' handle returned is a double...

the problems start when choose another folder, for now the value returned is a cell of structures containing the previous handle and the new handle.. so i cant use it directly...

i tried clearing but it didnt show any response... also i found the length of the cell and tried using only the last value, but those commands show an error as in the first case value was not a cell but a double and commannds dont correspond..

i guess the bestscenario would be if i can just clear the value every time the folder is selected using pushbutton..so can anyone please tell me what i'm doing wrong

i also noticed the same thing is happenin to my string..my string is the list of all files in the choosen folder
