Subject: plotting vector fields with Matlab?

Hi all,

I am looking into the possibility of plotting a vector field with matlab
in the xy plane (perhaps do 3-space later if I can get 2d working).

Assuming some arbitrary vector field

F = < P(x,y), Q(x,y) >

It is easy enough to generate the P,Q values for a tight grid on the xy
plane, but how do I plot the individual vectors? Is it possible to plot
a short line segment with an arrow head?

thanks,

Adam

Usualy the streamslice plot helps a lot too.
