I am trying to model cool thermal storage system in matlab simulink.
This consists of a cooling load and electricty prices which are multiplied to give the daily cost over the year.
But i need to incorporate storage i already wrote an m file to choose the cheapest and dearest times in which to generate and discharge the storage which is 6 consecutive hours at night and 5 consecutive hours during the day.
What I need is help on going bout modelling the storage at the moment i just have a simple matrix add which consists of the cooling being added to the storage to simulate but this has no constraints so sometimes the cooling load coming out can be negative which cannot happen.

So in summary what i need is to add the storage at the output of the m file which is a 1x365 matrix with the lowest cost time.
And a way of subtracting the discharge of the storage at the most advantageous peak time but it cannot go negative and also storage addition must be the same as discharge subtraction.

Any ideas would be very helpful.
