I just upgraded from MatLab 2010a to 2010b. In the previous version when I was working on a M files on the right hand side would be a (yellow/green/red box) then down the side their would be corresponding slashes of either yellow or red. If I put the mouse on the slashes it would make reccommended changes to the code.

Where did this feature go. Do I have to turn it on via preferences somehow? If so where?

File>Preferences>M-LINT

Also, did you try doing something completely erroneous like to using parentheses to make sure there's just nothing wrong?
