i need to create a system which takes an image, matches it with a list
of images to find the one which it matches. I basically want to create
a crude version of google goggles. It'll take an image as I/P and
return a text as O/P. I guess this will be done by matching the i/p
image with the images in my DB to find a match. The domain of images
will be very limited (Eg:Only Company Logo's etc.). Problem is the
Background of the i/p images might be anything, so i'll have to do
some extraction to identify the logo from the image and matrch it to
all my images. Please help me out. MATLAB code is preferable, anything
will do. Even any other link or algorithm will do. Thanks.

I realized this could be done maybe using edge detection and then
finding my logo (saved in DB) in the i/p image. I still dont know how
to do any of this so any help will be appreciated. Thanks:)

Is the scale of your images the same? It'd be easier for us if we could see some sample images and situations. I.e show us three images and which one you want your reference one to target. http://drop.io is a quick and easy place to put images.

I want something like the Local Matching there but it does not have to
be SO generic. It'll be okay if it works for only company logo's. This
is for an engineering project. I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks.
