Several people have contacted me about getting the UIGETFOLDER dialog (that
is available from MATLAB Central) to work in standalone executables created
with the MATLAB compiler. There is now a new version of UIGETFOLDER in
MATLAB Central at
http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/Files.jsp?type=category&
id=&fileId=1033
and it works in standalone executables. The download contains two very
simple examples.

I'm glad to see that TMW have decided to add a similar function as standard
at last! See the top of the description for the new UIGETFOLDER:
"Editor's Note: A similar function named UIGETDIR will be included in MATLAB
R13..."
I guess making it work on all platforms MATLAB runs on is quite a bit more
involved than my purley PC version!

Hi!

This program by Mr. Rutland is working well, but unfortunately it is
for windows only. Does anyone have something similar for UNIX? I know
this topic has been up several times before, but I haven't found a
good solution.

Thanks in advance
August
