Reduce the size of MCR installation

Subject: Reduce the size of MCR installation

Dear Matlab' users,

My current task involves installtion of Matlab compiler runtime on a small kontron. We only have a limited storage and one of the requirement is to install MCR to execute our Matlab m-file.

I installed MCR version 7.10 and it occupied ~650MB. Is there anyway I can reduce the size of the installation by deselecting a few toolbox that are not required? During the installation, I didn't see any options that allow me to perform this operation.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

Nick

As explained here:
http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/toolbox/compiler/bsfey7f.html#bsfj5r8
To improve compile time performance and lessen application size, prune the path with -N Clear Path, -p Add Directory to Path, or by specifying Toolboxes on Path in the deploytool Settings

I'm not sure the -N, -p options address the issue here. As I understand it, the question is with the size of MCR, not the compiled executable. I have the same issue with the size of the MCR. The entire set of Matlab toolbox libraries is installed regardless of what will be used by the compiled code. Is there an option during MCR installation to not install all of the toolbox functions or at least only install the subset that the programmer has a license for?

Thanks,
Eric
