Multiple surfaces, one with color property?

I'm trying to plot two surfaces on the same plot. I want one to have a constant color, but the other to have a specified color, e.g. SURF(X,Y,Z,C), where C is the size of Z. Whenever I plot these two together, my custom surface coloring is destroyed and it turns all blue. Is what I'm trying to do possible?
