Thread Subject:
gui control from function m file

I have created a gui, that when a button is pressed it inititializes the funtion ODE45.

That ODE45 function calls another m file that holds the information that is being calculated. From that file I want to implement a progress bar on the gui so that I know how far the computation Matlab is.

The code to create the progress bar came from a tutorial and for me, looks like this:
progress = t/1000

POSITION = [20 20 200 20]; % Position of uiwaitbar in pixels.
    H = uiwaitbar(POSITION);
    for i = 1:100

The function uiwaitbar is currently below the function that ODE45 calls, but in the same m file.

How can I get it to place and update the progress bar on the gui that called it?
