trajectory of a vehicle in image sequence

Hi,
      I am doing a project on "accident prediction" based on pbobabilistic approach..so as a part of the algorithm for the matlab code, i need to segment a particular vehicle
& then define the coordinates of that vehicle.

I want to know the function to find the coordinates of the vehicle or else to be specific, to first mark a point on the image and define the coordinates of that..

Plz help me!!

How do you expect us to be specific when we can't see your images?

For that matter any general JPEG image can be considered...
I want to know exactly how is the trajectory of an object tracked in the sequence of images..

Then this will work

trackedCentroids = zeros(totalNumberOfFrames, 2);
for frameNumber = 1 : totalNumberOfFrames
  thisFrame = mov(frameNumber).cdata;
  centroid = FindObjectInFrame(thisFrame);
  trackedCentroids(frameNumber, :) = centroid;
end

So all you have to do it to write the function FindObjectInFrame(),
which of course we can't (won't) do for you since, despite what you
asserted, *does* depend on the content that you want to find in the
frames. If you had a basketball player in the movie, how would any
software know if you wanted to track the person, the ball, the
person's feet, the person's hands, etc.? There's no way unless you
tell it!
