We are planning to control the energies of both sides of a thin film of polymer blend for photovoltaics. One side will have Si substrate and the other will have PDMS. Properties of both sides will be controlled by UVO exposer time. Then we shall anneal the sandwich. Subsequently we shall characterize the sample. The whole process will also be simulated by the theories of computational chemistry. Then we shall make device using this active material and interpret results from electrical properties of the active the materials derived from simulation. The whole process requires customized software. Since Materials Studio is a very powerful software, we would like to customize it by linking Matlab code that I am planning to write.
