Hi,
I want to read a solid model along with its tetrahedral mesh generated in Ansys into matlab. Is there any direct way of doing it. Otherwise if anyone knows can i save the solid model in any different format so that i can read them in matlab and if possible even see them.
I believe that a txt file giving the coordinates of the nodes in the mesh is generated in Ansys. but since its a txt file it would be difficult to know the direction (right hand/left hand) in which the vertices have been designated. I do not know what order in general will be followed in such files. Can someone throw some more light on this.

Hi
I know it is a very late reply.Mat be by this time you might have learned it how to do....?
Take the coordinates of the mesh to a text file or what ever. Along with these you will have a nodal connectivities, make it a separate file. These nodal connectivities are used to connect the elements of the mesh...You have to write a code of few lines to join the coordinates according to the nodal connectivities..You can go through my home page link:
https://sites.google.com/site/kolukulasivasrinivas/ where i have done problems like this...

Good Luck
