I'm sort of confused when trying to locate some system *.tlc files used for RTW code generation in MATLAB r2009b.
Take "gain.tlc" for example, in the old version of r2008a it can be found under the path %matlabroot\rtw\c\tlc\blocks, while in r2009b it's missing, and at the same time I could still find the file name in "genmap.tlc" like:
%generatefile Gain "gain.tlc"
what's more, I can find the file nowhere under the matlab root directory.
I'm asking for some explanation for it, how would the RTW work without having the corresponding .tlc file for code generation.
Thanks.

8-10 years ago all blocks had a tlc file and the file was used in the code gen process.

6-8 years ago the code gen process for built-in blocks changed so that they no longer used a tlc file.
Rather code gen for built-in blocks was done under the hood without the aid of the tlc file.
(I don't know why, but speculate that nobody actually customized the tlc for built-in blocks and it become troublesome to maintain all the files.)
However, the tlc files still _shipped_ with the product.

It would seem they they no longer even ship them.
A pity as they were very useful for learning tlc.

Phil.

Though I want to customize the Gain block for my diploma thesis. Reading through the tlc-files, I have not found the place, where the C code is generated.
Could anyone give me a hint, where to search. The RTW is still new to me.
Thanks in advance.
