Plot the form error of a rotor

Hi,

I measured the form error of a rotor in our lab but when I try to visualize it with the "surface" command, its is a nice round cilinder instead of a deformed cilinder. This is because the form error of the rotor is in the order of micrometers while the radius of the rotor is in the order of centimeters. When I plot the form error on the nominal surface of the cilinder, it is to small to see. How can I visualize this micrometer deviation on the roundness of the cilinder?
