Matlab and SSH to run simulation in linux

I run Matlab on Windows. I want to start an OpenFoam simulation on a Linux machine from within Matlab. Is this possible?

My first idea was to use SSH to execute an application on Linux, but Matlab has no SSH-client included. So maybe there is a way to use putty to run an application? But i really have no idea where to start from and would be happy about any hints.

Can I somehow use a System command to run putty in command line mode (is there one?) and execute a script that runs the simulation?
