problem in xlsfinfo command

hi,

I am facing issue in using xlsfinfo command. the very first line of my code is

[typ, desc, fmt] = xlsfinfo('file_name.xlsx');

Using this command I should get the names of all excel sheets in the desc variable.
which should of-course be a cell array.
but i am getting the empty array of 1x0.

While xlswrite and xlsread commands are working fine.

PS:- I have Matlab version R2009b in my system, MSOffice 2007 and windows 7 64 bit OS.
