being in GUI has nothing to do it. You call a Matlab function.

May be use save() ? for xls, doc xlswrite

EDU>> A=rand(3)

A =

thanks, nasser
I see some applications, if the current initial data storage, then the first user to specify where to store the data and if there are changes in the input then the user to simply press the button "save" or "ctrl + s" without having to search the store directory data will be updated, whether GUI matlab can do that?

Matlab GUI is what you program it to be.

So, yes, it can do that. it can do anything you want. It can make
phone calls if you want it to, it can send email also, it can
draw, or anything else you can imagine, but someone
has to write the code, that is the only tricky part.

If you make a menu in GUIDE, then you can assign shortcut keystrokes
like control-s that will execute the callback functions associated
with that menu item.
