Hi,

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 but this problem also occurred under Ubuntu 10.xx and its now completely frustrating me...

When i hit (F1) on a function name and the help window pops up it appears randomly and then if I try move it or resize it the window flashes, moves randomly, resizes randomly.

I've turned off all effects, open GL etc etc and this continues to happen. I suspect it has something to do with Java but i've updated everything to latest??

Any ideas?

Thanks, LP

I'm not aware of any known problem like you describe. You should work with
Technical Support to determine the cause of this behavior and how to correct
it.

Where you able to fix the problem? I have the same problem you describe though already tried different JVM (openJDK and sun-java) without any change. I use Ubuntu 10.10. Using another window manager (awesome) instead of Compiz allows me to resize, but not to get the hidden matlab window back. But that's another story.

Never mind. This is an issue with Compiz. Just use metacity or another window manager of your choice.
