Hello:

I have been using MATLAB for general mathmatics analysis. I am
wondering when Simulink should be used? I.e., when should one consider
to use Simulink but not MATLAB?

Can anyone kindly provide some suggestions on this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Xiaoxiao,
Simulink is an appropriate environment for model-based design as one example. Imagine you are attempting to design a control system for a moving vehicle. Simulink allows you to build and simulate the operation of that system thoroughly without having to build physical prototypes, which are extremely costly.
