can someone tell me how to divide the radar image into cells .. plzzzz..I need to divide the image into cells in order to partition the cells according to the range and the image doesn't having the range rings and bearing information.So,I need to develop a code in order to partition.so,if any one can help me in this...

I have no idea what cells means to you. Do you mean cell as in
MATLAB's concept of a "cell array"? Or do you mean like tiles or
subimages? If the fact that the image is a radar image means anything
special, different than any other type of image, then you should
probably post your image somewhere. What format is the image in?
Tiff, PNG, BMP, JPG, or something else? What is a partition? What
does it mean to you to "partition a cell"??? Does that mean to divide
your sub-image up into even smaller tiles??? I don't know what range
rings and bearings information is, so if that's important to the
answer you 'd better explain.

Thanks for the reply.

  The data is relate to weather radar and the image is in the form of png format.Here,in the image below each pixel is considered as cell which relates the pulse volume.In the information,I specified bearing means the antenna rotates 0-360 deg and the range is about 230km data.so,I need to extract the data for each km and degree like 1 deg,2 deg....upto 360 deg.But,at first I need to concentrate how to divide this image into cells using pixels.

Yes.I mean cells in the concept of cell array by using each pixel area.I mean here,by considering each pixel area up to each km,can I able to divide the image into cells which mean cell array.So,if I will do like that is it possible of dividing or can you please suggest me any other method.

Do you mean that you want each truncated, pie-shaped sector in your
image to be it's own cell in a cell array? Could the image be made
rectangular with pol2cart? It would make it easier to chop up the
image into little rectangles (crop them out) and stick them into cells
that way.

Hi,

  Thanks for the information.I don't know whether this works in my case or not.I need to look it out.I think may be to extract the information I need to convert the radar polar format information into Cartesian.Because I think image processing is slight different from Radar Imaging Processing.May be,I think this makes easy for me.Any way I will try the one which you gave me the information.Once again than you for your valuable time.And if you know how to do this thing,can you please suggest me what are the ways present to do this....
