I am trying to install a compiler for Matlab 64 bit.
First I referred to this post,
http://www.mathworks.com/support/compilers/R2011a/win64.html

Unfortunately I don't have administrator privlidges so I had to get an admin to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express and Microsoft Windows SDK 7.1 for me. I was able to run Visual Studio, so I know it is installed on my computer.

When I went to compile my program, I typed this into the Matlab command prompt,
mex -O program.c
Matlab then asked me to select a compiler but there wasn't anything there so I obviously could not compile the c program into a mex function. I have compiled the program before on 32 bit Matlab so I know that it works.

What am I missing?
Thanks,
Nate

Dear Nate,

Did you activate the compiler by:
  mex -setup
?

Kind regards, Jan

Not until you mentioned it. I didn't see that on the link I posted so I didn't realize that I had to do that.

Thanks again,
Nate
