Reading frames from QuickTime files in Windows MATLAB installation?

Subject: Reading frames from QuickTime files in Windows MATLAB installation?

Hi,

I noticed that on MacOS instalation of MATLAB 'mmreader' will read in QuickTime files but that this isnt supported on Windows versions.

First, why is this?

Second, how can I over come this?

I have a copy of Malcolm Slaney's ReadQTMovie.m but this doesnt support the particular '.mov' files I'm getting from the camera.

I need to capture the individual frames without their transformation into another format otherwise my calibration will be out.

Thanks for any help in this.

Nic
