Thread Subject: 64-bit Linux and java jre problem

We are running Matlab under 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 and for some reason we have been getting errors with java, some kind of lib error where figures would not get plotted, etc. As a work around, based on some newsgroup postings, we always roll back to a older java release jre1.6.0_12/ and set the environment variable MATLAB_JAVA to point to this older release. We some how still continue to do that. Is this issue resolved or is there a better fix?
