Hi folks,

One of my big SimScape roadblocks is debugging my models. I get very little traction resolving errors with error messages like:

"Equations (including nonlinear equations) of one or more components may be dependent or inconsistent. This can cause problems in transient initialization. Here is the set of components involved:"

It proceeds to give a list of SimScape component equations which are apparently inconsistent. But they look fine to me.

My debugging efforts usually devolve into simply adding references, removing "Gas Properties" blocks, and other random flailing. It is not efficient or fruitful.

Does anyone have any debugging tips?

-Justin

This is a very good question. I do hope a more experienced user than me can reply.
