Can Image Acquisition Toolbox connect to a Scanner?

Hi All,

Can the image acquisition toolbox talk to a scanner? Right now I run a VB executable to scan an image. I want to simplify my code and keep everything in matlab. Areany of you aware of a way to do this. The scanner is an HP G3110.

I saw this. I don't think it is correct.

I think there must be a way to load the java library and then access the objects. Just like you do with so many of the new routines.

after two years, did anybody experimented with this? And get it to work?
