Thread Subject:
xlsread in Matlab Stand alone executable

Subject: xlsread in Matlab Stand alone executable

Hi,

I have created a stand alone executable from my M File using the Deploytool.
The M file uses xlsread to import data from Excel

a = xlsread('Myfile.xlsx')

My question is:

If I have the xlsread command as above WITHOUT the file path, does Matlab search for the Excel file in the same directory in which the executable is located?

In other words:
If I run the original M File, Matlab will search for the Excel file within Matlab's working directory. What about if I run the executable generated from that M File? What is the default directory that it will look for the Excel file within?

Thanks,
Alaa
