Hi

I would like to create a S-function, or something similar, to be able to share simscape plant models to non-simscape users (using simulink only). We have one plant model team working with simscape and another sw-team, without simscape licenses. Nevertheless, the sw-team wants to test their sw-models against the plant models... To pack the simscape blocks into black box s-function (just like one can do with e.g. Dymola) would be great.

I know s-function generation from simscape is not supported, but also that c-code generation from simscape should be possible. So, is the problem possible to solve?

Hello Jonn,

as far as I know you always need a Simscape license to share models. But it is not necessary to have other licenses of Simscape (SimMechanics, SimHydraulics.....) to share such models. You can use that models in a "Restricted Mode"
It is described in the MATLAB Help --> Simscape-->User's Guide --> Add-On Product License Management

Michael
