Thread Subject: title latex arrays, brackets not shown and no minus sign

Hello

I am using R 2008, on Linux Kubuntu 10.04.

I would like to have the following title:
title('$$ A=\left(\begin{array}{cc} - 2 & 1\\ 1 & - 2 \end{array}\right) \qquad B(t) =\left(\begin{array}{l} 2\sin(t)\\ 2(\cos(t)-\sin(t) \end{array}\right)$$','interpreter','latex')

however the brackets are not displayed, the greek
 \mu symbol is shown instead and the symbol
for line ending in word processors, moreover the minus is not displayed but a i,

that is instead of -2 it is i2

what can I do, I googled and looked up
