I AM WORKING WITH A NO OF SENSORS . I USE RS-232 AS FOR AS COMMUNICATION WITH THE HARDWARE AND PC . BUT THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITH THE LAPTOP AS LAPTOP DON'T HAVE RS-232 PORT, SO IS IT POSSIBLE TO READ THE VALUE FROM ETHERNET PORT IN THE LAPTOP IN THE GUI WINDOW....IF YES THEN HOW TO DO THAT. PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH A SOLUTION IN THIS REGARD.

No need to shout - we can hear you loud and clear.

Easiest solution to your problem would be to get yourself a USB to RS232 converter cable. Check on Google, you will find a local supplier, and they are very cheap. These map in your OS to a comport, and you can use your existing program (remembering to change your port number to match your USB converter.
