Hello everyone. I am new to Matlab. I was just fiddling with the Datafeed Toolbox. I imported some closing prices for a few stocks. I am wondering if there is an easy way to enter stocks into an array, and load them into the Datafeed Toolbox and then import data for all on a continuous, automated, real-time basis. Also, I am wondering if it is possible to do this using Matlab, an then load all the data into excel. I’m ultimately trying to think of a way to use excel as a front-end and Matlab as a back-end (like a data feed and data warehouse). Is this possible? I know the Excel part quite well; worked as an Excel developer for a number of years. I can do this with Excel and Yahoo-finance, or Google-finance, but the performance is pathetic.

I used the resource below for getting the basic setup:

However, I would still like to know how to automate the Matlab part. Also, I still need to figure out a way to auto-load the dat into excel from Matlab.

Thanks!!
